She served as the Tribal Administrator for the Native Village of Afognak for over 14 years, leading initiatives in governance, cultural preservation, and youth development. She later joined First Alaskans Institute, where she fostered equity-focused leadership and facilitated transformative dialogues on Indigenous governance and racial equity.
